About Zoe

Zoe Turner learned to embroider from a library book she borrowed during a long, rainy summer. The book was old — its binding cracked and its diagrams yellowed — but the stitches it described were timeless. She practiced on dishcloths, then pillowcases, then gradually moved onto linen and silk.

Her embroidery practice today is a conversation between tradition and modernity. She uses centuries-old stitches — satin stitch, French knots, feather stitch — to create images that feel entirely contemporary: bold botanical prints, abstract landscapes, tiny portraits of everyday scenes.

Zoe is also an advocate for embroidery as a mindfulness practice. She writes openly about the way needlework helped her through periods of anxiety, and her tutorials carry that calm, grounded energy. She does not rush. She does not gloss over difficulty. She meets her readers where they are.

When not stitching, Zoe collects vintage embroidery patterns, visits textile museums, and teaches community workshops focused on slow craft and mental wellbeing.
