About Hannah
Hannah Williams became interested in upcycling the year she moved into her first flat and could not afford to furnish it. She started haunting charity shops, skips, and Facebook Marketplace, dragging home sad-looking furniture and transforming it with paint, fabric, and a great deal of determination.
What started as necessity became philosophy. Hannah began to see waste not as a problem to be managed but as a resource to be reimagined. Old denim became quilts. Wine corks became bath mats. Yoghurt pots became seed starters. Glass jars became lanterns. Her flat was eventually featured in a sustainable living magazine, and her tutorials started attracting a following.
Hannah's approach is pragmatic and cheerful. She does not believe sustainable craft should feel like a sacrifice. Her projects are genuinely beautiful — and genuinely zero-waste. She documents the full lifecycle of each project, from sourcing materials to end-of-life composting or recycling.
She consults for sustainability organizations on circular design and runs a free workshop series in her local community for people who cannot afford craft supplies.
